Hello hello! Sending you big hugs today :)

Welcome to my weekly newsletter - this will be my last one for 2019!

As you know, my goal is to make this as inspiring, insightful, and useful for you as possible, so you can build your best life and take steps every day to turn your dreams into your reality, just like I'm doing.

In order to keep doing that, it's time for me to take a few steps back on all fronts and do some proper reflecting, researching, and planning before I continue to intentionally build our* community.

*I say OUR community and I mean it - I don't believe in 'followers' or 'fans' - we are equal and we are all in this together.

There are five weeks left in 2019 and for the first time all year (actually in like five years) I'm stabilized in one home base location for the foreseeable future and have consistent daily time to sit and focus on building my own business.

Normally I'd get to this kind of point and immediately ramp everything up - but after reflecting on past lessons learned last week (train daydreaming FTW), I've decided it would be best to completely stop doing everything not directly revenue generating first.

This way I can see what tasks I genuinely love and miss the most - and what tasks I never liked or needed to do anyway. I have a tremendous backlog of tasks and projects that I cannot wait to finally focus on!

I've planted so many seeds over the past decade and now is my time to harvest all of the opportunities I've been dreaming about and preparing for.

Not to mention that I'm also behind on thousands of emails, texts, WhatsApps, Instagram DMs, and messages across Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Snapchat, TikTok, etc... I promise I'll be getting that under control soon so we can better communicate next year!

It's time to go unapologetically all-in on my strengths and re-build my personal and professional lives on this beautiful rock bottom foundation that I've worked so wildly and intentionally to excavate and clean up the past five years.

You will be on my mind as we close out 2019 and I am wishing you the very best!!!

WHERE I'M TRAVELING
  • I had the most lovely long weekend down south in Virginia with my college BFF Victoria - celebrating her baby shower and just relaxing and enjoying real life together. There were several years this past decade where I would go at over a year without seeing my BFFs due to schedules and lack of time off - so I genuinely appreciate having the freedom and flexibility to spend generous amounts of time with people I love now.
  • I made my return to NYC this week! I was back in town to catch up with another bestie from college, DJ (for our annual, albeit belated Virgo birthday happy hour) and to attend my favorite annual United Women in Business Foundation event - Ladies Who Hustle! I am incredibly inspired by the badass female founder panel speakers and so proud this has continued for six years - since I was UWIB President!
  • I currently - for the first time ever in decades - have ZERO future travel plans. It feels so damn good to have a blank slate to work with and I can't wait to see where in the world I end up exploring next year!

2020 GOALS PLANNER THAT I'M TRYING
  • I recently connected with Ivy.ly co-founder AnneMarie Schindler through the Momentum community I'm in. I couldn't help but purchase their new planner as soon as I read about the Ivy.ly planning process, keys to success, and shared values. They are guided by focusing on what's truly important, having courage to accomplish your dreams, and giving kindness to yourself along the way. THAT is the kind of vibe I want behind my 2020 goals! Check it out for yourself - LMK if you purchase or if you have another planner you swear by!
  • I'm determined to build a heart-based business that sparks joy and makes bank! No sketchy sales schemes, no selling out, no spending tons on social ads... I know it can be done, and you know that I'll keep you updated on how I'm figuring it all out.

PODCAST I'M LISTENING TO
  • I continue to question and challenge everything I learned in the corporate world as I shape my new life as a solopreneur. This Pivot Podcast episode really helped to further shake things up:  Be a Free Range Human—Busting Business Myths with Marianne Cantwell. A longtime advocate for going your own way in life and work, Marianne shares where many solopreneurs go wrong: leaving a suffocating, one-size-fits-all corporate environment just to feel equally penned in by a box of their own making with shoulds from the self-employment space. A must listen to if you're ever going out on your own!
