SH Note #14 : I'm Putting It All Out There

empower infj newsletter reading shnotes travel Dec 11, 2018
Heyyy,

Welcome to my biweekly newsletter, I appreciate your time reading! This is the 14th newsletter I've sent out since launching in June, and it will be my last of 2018. I currently have 163 subscribers and I couldn't love and appreciate every single one of you any more.

I am proud that I (finally) started this newsletter and have stuck with it consistently, every other week, since launching. But it's time to take a break. I'm in London this week, NYC next week, my parents house in Philadelphia the week after that for Christmas, and then Cuba for a couple weeks after that. I want to end this on a strong note and pick back up with refreshed energy come January 2019! If I want to help you build and live out your best life, I need to prioritize building and living mine out too.

OK, last set of recommendations in 2018! Let's make this good! You know the drill — I want to make this as strategic, insightful, and useful for you as possible, so you can create your best damn life and take steps everyday to turn your dreams into your reality. I'm constantly consuming and creating content across all channels; below is my latest list of recommended links to help you build your best life:

WHERE I'M TRAVELING
  • I am thoroughly enjoying having three weeks straight at home in London, and working from the same office / timezone is a relief. I can't believe that it's been eight months since I moved here!
  • I've been solely focused on recovering from my seemingly permanent bout of jet lag — I set up my yoga mat to be out in my flat 24/7, and have been meditating and practicing yoga on a daily basis. Even if it's just 10 minutes a day, I'm still making that time for myself and it's made the biggest difference. Shout out to fellow INFJ Lauren for the daily yoga and meditation inspiration on Insta!
  • Starting next week, I'm back to traveling for three weeks straight. I'll have five days working in New York City, four days at home with my family for Christmas, and then then 12 glorious sunny, solo writing days in Havana, Cuba before I head back to London. You can follow me on Insta or Facebook for updates until the next newsletter :)

BOOK THAT I'M FEATURED IN
  • “Be who you needed when you were younger.” It’s time. I’ve been putting this off forever — because it’s scary to share your story. But stories are powerful — your story, my story — and there is so much power in sharing your unique life experience. Not only to love and accept it for yourself, but to help others learn and grow from it too.  I encourage you all to give voice to what’s in your heart... be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire.
  • It’s time for me to do that too... 10 years in NYC, all the failures, world travel, career, divorce... it’s time to share. I’m excited to announce that I am proud and honored to be part of Saba Tekle's 20 Beautiful Women book series.
  • 20 Beautiful Women: 20 More Stories That Will Heal Your Soul, Ignite Your Passion And Inspire Your Divine Purpose” is a collection of personal short stories. Many of these stories, told here for the very first time, will empower you to make real changes in your life, heal down to your soul, find your passion, and live your divine purpose, now. I am featured in Volume 5, Chapter 5 — you can purchase the paperback here on Amazon!

WHAT OTHERS ARE WRITING
BOOKS I'M READING
  • We're coming to the end of my 50 Books in 2018 Challenge! I'm currently finishing up my 45th book, and proud that I've come so far this year. I'll let you know the final results in January, although for me at this point, it's more about the journey and getting back into my regular book reading habits again.

QUOTE I LOVE
  • “It seems that the more places I see and experience, the bigger I realize the world to be. The more I become aware of, the more I realize how relatively little I know of it, how many places I have still to go, how much more there is to learn. Maybe that's enlightenment enough — to know that there is no final resting place of the mind, no moment of smug clarity. Perhaps wisdom, at least for me, means realizing how small I am, and unwise, and how far I have yet to go.” — Anthony Bourdain

Wishing you the happiest of holidays and an inspired start to the new year!
