Alohaaaa xo

Welcome to my weekly Friday newsletter! You are the best ever! I am so grateful that you are reading this right now, thank you for your time :)

My goal is to make this as inspiring, insightful, and useful for you as possible, so you can build your best life and take steps every day to turn your dreams into your reality, just like I'm doing.

I'm gaining hustle momentum again — slowly but surely. I so wanted to be back functioning at 100% right away, but that's not reality and I acknowledge needing to ease into things so I can create a sustainable lifestyle and avoid burning out (again).

This Monday, July 1st marks the beginning of Q3 2019! Do you set yearly / quarterly goals for yourself? This is on my list to write about and share with you :)

I've made a habit of setting quarterly goals the past four+ years (thanks to the Momentum community I'm part of!) and it's made a tremendous impact on the trajectory on my life. Q2 2019 was the first time I didn't set any goals for myself — I just needed to get healthy and happy again — and I'm glad I took that break in London. I'm revising how I set my goals so I avoid stretching myself too thin this Q, and I'll be setting aside an hour this weekend to reflect on my intentions for the next three months.

If you're not sure where to start with goal setting  kick things off with this practical and powerful mind map exercise from Jenny Blake!

Below is the latest list of links that I'm referring to as I build my best life one thought provoking article, community, and podcast at a time:

WHERE I'M TRAVELING
  • I am home in the USA for the summer and absolutely loving my time living at my parent's house. So grateful for this time with my family and soaking in every moment!
  • Last minute on my way to Toronto right now for the weekend!

HOW I'M BUILDING MY BUSINESS
  • I am actively building my own solopreneur business... but to be completely transparent with you, I'm not exactly sure what that looks like or what my revenue streams will end up being. I legit have no clue what I'm doing and it feels both bloody brilliant and absurd at the same time!
  • I have two (dream) clients right now (that magically fell into my lap through my network once I took that leap of faith and quit my job) that I'm doing business strategy consulting for which has been a great start to cover my bases and point me in the right direction.
  • I've been torn between my passions for travel adventures, writing, small business strategy, social media, and career mentoring — do I choose one focus or try to integrate them or just do all separate things!? I guess we shall see how it unfolds as I take it one step at a time and prioritize my happiness and self-care along the way.
  • Later is my go-to resource for all the best tips and latest trends in social media — check out their New Rules for Instagram Hashtags: How to Find the Right Hashtags for Your Business!

WRITING COMMUNITY I JOINED
  • Elisa Doucette launched her Close The Gap writing community!!!  It is an online community that gives you the support and accountability you crave to become more confident in your own writing — which is exactly what I'm looking for right now. I am prepared to invest my time and resources to make progress and pursue this passion of mine. I'll let you know how it goes and def LMK if you join yourself!

ARTICLES I'M READING

PODCASTS I'M LISTENING TO
  • Elissa Weinzimmer launched her How To Speak Your Truth podcast and I just can't get enough of her energy! She is sharing stories and practices that inspire us to access our truth, so we can express ourselves fully and communicate effectively with others — who doesn't want more of that their lives!?
    • Elissa also leads a Speak Your Truth Membership Community if you're looking for more ongoing support in your journey, definitely consider it, she has a killer deal of only $19/month launch rate (available until this Sunday 6/30/19)!

QUOTE I LOVE
  • “I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious.” ― Albert Einstein

Remember that you are good enough, you are smart enough, and you are talented enough. You were born with exactly what you need to chase down your biggest dreams.

Sending you all the positive vibes as we close out this last weekend in June! Now let's go forth and build our dream lives, one step at a time :)
