SH Note #32 : Releasing Perfectionism, Finding Inspiration, And Believing Impossible Things...

friendtor newsletter perfectionism shnote solopreneur usa Aug 09, 2019
Hey there xo

Happy Friday! Sending you all the joyful, positive vibes for this weekend ahead :)

I acknowledge these newsletters have been sent inconsistently at best this summer - due to a variety of reasons - but a big one is my perfectionism, a healing point I've been specifically working through and releasing the past few years.

It's been on my to-do list to update the formatting of this newsletter - start adding images, embedding videos, etc... but I've been lost on what direction I want to head in, so I stall in sending.

However as I've learned so many times before, I know that in order to figure out where I want to go, I can't get stuck on trying to achieve the "perfect end picture" (no such thing BTW) from the start and instead need to take it week by week and let it evolve naturally over time.

So here it goes! Just going to keep moving forward, one step at a time. If you have any feedback or requests, please hit reply and LMK, I'd love to hear your reader's POV :)

WHERE I'M TRAVELING
  • I am hunkered down at my USA home base (thanks Mom and Dad!) and focused on building my dream business this month! It is taking all of my time and heart right now, but it's a worthy investment and a complete joy to work on.
  • I've been writing a "solopreneur diary" documenting my weekly wins, struggles, AHA moments, and billable hours - can't believe I'm already on week #10 - will be releasing that on my blog soon!

WHAT OTHERS ARE WRITING

PODCASTS I'M LISTENING TO
  • Frustration & Fortune: Becoming an Entrepreneur - Building a Business that Lasts podcast featured my favorite INFJ Caspar Szulc and it had me feeling courageous and energized as I build my own business for the first time! Seeking out stories of other folks that inspire you is a great way to figure out what you want in your life.

QUOTE I LOVE
  • "Alice laughed: "There's no use trying," she said; "one can't believe impossible things."

"I daresay you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was younger, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast."

    — Alice in Wonderland

Remember that you are good enough, you are smart enough, and you are talented enough. You were born with exactly what you need to chase down your biggest dreams.

Now go forth and make your dreams come true, one tiny step at a time!

P.S. It would mean the world to me if you forwarded this newsletter to a friend that would find this info helpful or inspiring too! (New folks can subscribe here!)
